New Awning Installations for Staines Library
In preparation for the relocation to its newly refurbished Library Hub, Staines Library contacted us to enhance its external aesthetics and visitor comfort with high quality, durable awnings. The library approached Samson Commercial Awnings with a requirement for stylish and functional protection solutions to be installed at the new entrance. The goal was to provide shading for patrons and to visually enhance the building façade, ensuring the entrance was welcoming as well as providing extra shade.
Process:
The main challenge involved guaranteeing the safety of the awnings due to the library environment. To ensure long-term performance and safety, Commercial Awnings supplied and installed two custom-sized universal support frames, allowing for precise alignment and secure fixing to the existing building façade.
Following the survey, we decided to choose Lewens awnings for this project. Our project included three Lewens Family classic awnings as below:
- 4935mm Width x 2000mm Projection
- 4545mm Width x 2000mm Projection
- 2600mm Width x 2000mm Projection
The Family Classic folding arm awning is manufactured in Germany, built with trusted Lewens quality and brings a breezy, summery charm to any setting. Its awnings are available in sizes up to 7000mm as a single unit and up to 19500mm when combined in a multi-unit system, which is ideal for covering even expansive areas. We also chose RAL 9007 Grey Aluminium framework and bright green (14633 Acryl 2) colour fabric to deliver a sleek, contemporary appearance and excellent sun protection.
