Markilux 1600 retractable awnings in Market Harborough

This estate agents in Market Harborough, a small town in the East Midlands, needed some awnings to help provide shelter and shading for those working inside, as well as to help make a statement on a moderately busy high street.

The estate agents is a rectangular building with large glass panels that are open to sun exposure, greatly warming the property and making it uncomfortable as well as causing glare. These Markilux 1600 electric awnings were fitted to two different sides of the shop front and they helped to provide shade and cool down the glass within. Full cassette awnings were chosen due to the property not having any cover from the weather and electric operation for simple ease of use and the fact the awnings were set so high making manual operation impossible.

They particularly wanted a system that would could be branded with corporate colours and logos in order to fit with the companies well known and easily recognisable aesthetic. The rich green colour scheme was something that would be easy enough to match, but the ability to have the logo and slogan on the awning was a touch that really helped this become an eye catching installation.

Due to the nature of the street and location, not only does the awning provide shading for the shop, but it also helps protect the narrow path from getting wet, making this an extra inviting area. Valances with lettering printed were also requested in order to protect from low lying sun.
